This company has since had 3 or 4 owners since then, I explain my story every time and they apologizes etc, and say they will keep me up to date with matches etc, as at today it's been about 4 months since I've heard from Just for Coffee, I've just tried calling them and the phone number is disconnected and I've googled them and it's a different number and now that's disconnected. I went to the ombudsman and the very beginning and they said there was nothing they could do. I feel like I've been totally ripped off and was played on my emotions, i should have just gone to on holiday instead :. I was promised regular contact and personal matching. What I got was me chasing often and a computer based system that matched our criteria and the matching criteria when you sign up is very basic. In 4 months I had 2 dates even though my contract was 1 per month. Another friend who is with them has had 2 dates in 6 months so he has not had much luck either. He has also quoted that it isn't even so much the money but the lack of contact or engagement. Seems a case of not being able to deliver on a promise at a high price. I joined Just Coffee almost a year ago. I wasn't interested in Internet dating because it sounds like there are a lot of time wasters online. What appealed to me about Just Coffee was that because you make it clear what you are looking for, you can assume that the guys you are matched with want the same things. I was very clear and specific about the criteria I was looking for but I was given assurances that there were plenty of existing members who met my criteria. However, for the entire term of my membership, I was not sent one single match who met my criteria. In the whole time, I went on one date. It was very early on in my membership and I was pressured to go on a date with someone who did not meet my criteria under the pretense that it would not count as one of the included dates I had paid for in my package. On two occasions, crucial information was concealed from me about members and I agreed to date them. However, once they contacted me, it became clear that they presented with important criteria that I had specified I didn't want to be matched with. I was then put in the very unpleasant situation of having to tell them I couldn't proceed with the date. This is an awful thing to have to do to someone. After 9 months, it was finally admitted to me that there were no existing members who met my criteria. Even though I was previously promised a refund by a certain timeframe if they could not find me an appropriate match, they refused to return a single cent of the fees I paid. Other members have connected with me via social media and shared similar, sometimes worse stories about their experiences with Just Coffee. I've found out that the owners approach people in bars and on social media websites offering free memberships if they will join. This may explain why some people are being matched with people and forming a connection only to find that the other person is not interested in a relationship. The members I have spoken to are all genuine, lovely people who are disappointed and saddened by how they've been treated. Many of them have no idea that ownership has changed and haven't been contacted by this service in months. They have all said they would rather forfeit the fees they paid and walk away than deal with Just Coffee anymore. I cannot believe that a business can operate this way in this country. It is a scam that preys on the vulnerabilities of single people. I really regret signing up with Just Coffee and I wish I never did. I can only hope this post stops others from making the mistake I did. I've been on a couple of dates through Just Coffee Dating, have I met a man who I'm now totally in love with? No, but I have met a couple of really good guys that were able to hold a conversation, made me laugh and looked me in the face and not at my chest. I'm not sure what others may have expected from this service, maybe to sign up and BAM!!!! Here's Mr Perfect, everything you every asked for served up on a plate within weeks or even a couple of months, but I think that's somewhat unrealistic, this is Perth after all. This service is real people trying to connect others so I'm willing to give it time and I realise that not everyone I like is going to like me back. So no it hasn't happened for me yet, but I believe from my interactions with Renee, who's always been really supportive and helpful, that her and her team have my best interests at heart and won't give up. The good things in life are always worth the wait. And from the quality of the matches I've been sent since she's taken over, that wait may not be much longer. After some apprehension I met with Renee from Just Coffee Dating and have never been happier. Totally Professional, Genuine and she made me feel at ease with something I had never done before. I didn't want to go out on dates with men who only were there for one thing. I had been on several dates arranged by JCD and have just recently met the most Amazing man. Things are new but when you know, well you just know! Thank You Just Coffee Dating!!! And Thank You Renee!!! Other dating sites left me feeling like I must have been the only woman that was interested in a relationship as all the men I met seemed to just want a one nighter. As chance would have it I met the owner Renee at a bar where I overheard her talking to a group of her friends about a new business she had bought. I approached her at the bar and asked her about it. Renee explained how it worked. I went home and did a bit of research and decided to give it a go. They gave me 3 matches and I wondered if they were really suited to me but I trusted their business opinion. On my second match date I found the one. Completely different to who I would normally go for but we just seemed to click from our first contact. I only wished I had met him sooner. It was fate meeting the owner of Just Coffee Dating that night in the bar. I can't thank them enough. I wanted something more professional and sophisticated than online dating, so I joined Just Coffee with the previous owner and didn't go on a date before the new owners took over. With the new ownership I was offered men who were totally unsuitable and outside the mutually AGREED and totally realistic parameters. At first the obvious mismatching was puzzling, but I think it was because they simply had no one and wanted to fill in. I felt pressured into going on a couple of dates. I had several discussions with the staff at JC and was told at one stage that it was difficult to get anyone interested in someone my age Really? After going into the office at my suggestion, as I hadn't met my consultant face to face they suddenly were suggesting that I should consider someone at least 10 years younger, which is not what I want. The only person who ever bothered to contact me was a lady who they let go, then the ONLY time I talked to anyone was at my instigation. I spoke to Louise a couple of times and although she was very nice, she was not my assigned consultant. I started wondering who actually was! Eventually I gave up and I haven't heard anything from anyone for months. Do yourself a favour and spend the money on a cruise. Just Coffee clearly have a decent database and actually introduced me to some very ELIGIBLE potential partners. I used a matchmaking service in the UK once, but Just Coffee are streets ahead of them as far as their professionalism and personalized service. Definitely try Just Coffee. I have been on a few dates and met some lovely men. What I really like about the men on Just Coffee is that they genuinely want a relationship and from my experience have been really nice people. Am over online dating and I'm not into pubs and clubs so Just Coffee seemed the way to go. I haven't met my perfect match but at least I have made new friends. Renee has been great following up on what I am looking for and always trying to find me someone who meets my criteria. I know it takes time to meet someone and I may not meet anyone at Just Coffee but at least I gave it a go and I have been happy with my experience : I was skeptical and it took a bit of convincing from them to get me to believe that they had the types of guys I was looking for. It also took a while to get my first date but it was worth the wait. I liked that they don't just send you out with anyone been there done that. Since joining I have only met genuine Single, nice guys but I guess I'm still looking for that special 'spark'. I'll keep using JUst Coffee because they do all the work for me yes I'm lazy and fussy I really wanted to writ this review ro let everyone else know the staff are fantastic and I love that they work so hard behinds he scenes for you. I can't recommend them highly enough. My experience with Just Coffee is that you need to be patient, trust the staff and be honest with yourself. My first few matches were not really what I was looking for but I was impressed that the staff took my feedback on. I had to change my profile a few times to make sure I was getting matched with the right types of woman. I really wanted to meet someone professional. But then they introduced me to my lady and I felt like everything fell in to place. It was important that I meet someone who shared my interests and wanted the same things out of life. Especially if you have been online for a while, online dating is just a waste of time. If you are thinking about it stop and just do it. I left the meeting feeling very hopeful as I was given the impression that the service was quite successful in matching people. I did not hear from my matchmaker for weeks and it was only after sending emails and making phone calls that I was sent a date. So far I have been on one date who did not match the criteria I specified. I was told at my initial interview that my criteria was not unrealistic and it would be easy to match me. The person I went on a date with was very genuine but just not a good match. I haven't been sent any further dates or had any contact with my matchmaker for weeks now. I read a post on here which recommended spending the money on a gym membership and going out to meet people. I think that advice may be right. I'm a single person with a mortgage so that money could have been spent on something better.. She just kept sending me men that didn't meet my criteria. They just kept sending me wrong matches and refusing to take on board my views. I'm hopeful for a new start with Just Coffee. My initial thoughts about Just Coffee were that they promised a great deal but I did not necessarily believe they would be able to deliver. However, I threw caution to the wind and put my faith in Felicity which is not something I would ever do normally. Within less than a week, I received my first and only match, Sarah. When I read her profile I emailed Felicity and said she sounded too good to be true. I even rather cheekily inquired if this girl had been in prison or a mental institution! How shall I put it? Either I am the world's luckiest person or Just Coffee did a very good job. To make matters even better, the click was mutual. Sarah not only lived up to her profile, she has exceeded any expectations I could possibly have had. We seem almost like kindred spirits. In fairness I do not know how regularly this happens and having read a review by Mel on July 8th clearly not everyone feels the same way about the service. But when Felicity told me she felt she would be able to match me with a very attractive, intelligent professional girl who had similar interests to myself, she was right. So in my case at least I think they deserve top marks! With Just Coffee there are no 'old photos' that look nothing like you do now. They take a photo on sign up. You get to meet your date at a nice coffee shop and can enjoy either a nice long chat over coffee and food if you click, or if not then 5 minutes have your coffee and leave I personally have enjoy great conversations with everyone Lastly, everyone you meet are all looking for the same thing you are What I thought was going to be an exciting journey has turned out to be nothing but a time wasting exercise and waste of money. I signed up with Just Coffee in March as I wanted to invest in finding a more suitable partner through this professional agency. I wanted to remove myself from being on the computer in my evenings scrolling through matches on internet dating sites. My profile match requests were reasonable and I was very open minded and gave the experience my best shot but after 5 dates that were not compatible at all I was infuriated! I have also never received a copy of my contract, never been contacted by the agency without having made contact first for follow up and after numerous attempts to discuss my issues with matches being provided I am still not being heard! My experience has been truly disappointing to the point I have been infuriated and quite insulted. I am sick of the false promises and feel that Just Coffee will never be able to deliver. They are disorganised and unprofessional with no empathy for singles. Don't sign up and you won't end up being disappointed like me.
